As a global corporate citizen, we believe it is imperative we should employ both our physical and intellectual assets to not only improve the lives of people in the communities where we live and work but, moreover, guide sound investment in the long-term development and sustainability of those communities.
At Nur Advisors™, our CSR activities are a core element of our business model, and we approach our CSR projects with the same vigor and commitment as our traditional client work. Our strategic CSR efforts are focused on leveraging our core advisory competencies from the private sector towards the non-profit sector. This includes providing many of our high net-worth clients with pro-bono advice on the strategic use of their philanthropic funds, as well as pro-bono strategic investment advice to emerging market NGOs on value creation and risk mitigation strategies to improve economic and social return from local development projects. At the heart of our CSR efforts at Nur Advisors is Nur Sabah, a strategic CSR initiative developed in January 2006 to develop ethical and Shariah-compliant financial products providing capital to micro-level entrepreneurs.
